A#1 in today’s tech-heavy, social business climate is RELATIONSHIP

Keeping my networks manageable and contacts tight, has helped me to be more present, interact, respond, and ultimately create real connections. This is how we build online relationships.” ~ Sandy Hibbard

Sandy Hibbard Brooklyn morningYesterday I was sitting in the park early morning, having breakfast and catching sun, something I would not usually do living in any other city on a cold morning. There is something about NYC that compels you to be outdoors, especially on a beautiful, sun-filled, crisp March day. As I was eating and meditating over my morning latte, I began to wonder what it is that cuts through the noise and gets attention in marketing. What makes someone read a post, or click a link? There are many answers to this you can throw into the mix, but one stood out.

ONE WORD, and I think it is A#1 in today’s tech-heavy, social business climate, it’s RELATIONSHIP.

Everyone who is reaching out to me seems to be very serious about their marketing this quarter, and that’s a good thing. As a result of our marketing, referrals, and social media programs, I am pleased to have brought in and to be working for several new influential clients. How did I do it? As I ponder this question, I look back over the last 17 years of growing Lyric Marketing & Design and now Sandy Hibbard Creative, and the answer always takes me back to that word – RELATIONSHIP.

I realize that through my efforts on Instagram, and my established Page and presence on Facebook, email marketing, and blogs, how much business I have drawn from social because of the relationships I have built. Keeping my networks manageable and contacts tight, has helped me to be more present, interact, respond, and ultimately create real connections. This is how we build online relationships. The business doesn’t always come this month, or this week, or even this year, but rather it culminates after a period of time and when the need arises. It takes commitment and consistency and passion for what you are doing. Just from Instagram alone, I have met and now work with individuals from various countries who are not only my clients, but also my friends. And do you know how we connected? Through our love of great photography and interaction on that social network. So I know it works.

More than ever there is too much noise in business marketing, pie-in-the-sky promises, and clever sales tactics that it gets confusing. So I want to keep it simple and say, if you are ready to build new relationships and groom a pipeline for your business, social media is definitely one way to do it. Through my email and online marketing, Instagram and social media programs, I can help you reach your strategic marketing goals.
