As we celebrate the achievements of women worldwide, I reflect on my own journey as a self-taught marketing executive and proud owner of Sandy Hibbard Creative. It’s been 24 remarkable years since I embarked on this entrepreneurial adventure, turning my childhood dream of owning a business into a reality.

From playing “store” in my bedroom to being the boss of my own company, the path hasn’t always been smooth, but it’s been undeniably rewarding. Despite not having a college degree or substantial financial resources, I took a leap of faith and never looked back. Through years of hard work, perseverance, and learning from both successes and failures, I’ve created a business I’m immensely proud of.

Today, on International Women’s Day, I share my story to inspire other women, especially those who, like me, started with little but dared to dream big. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a young girl with aspirations, know that your dreams are valid and achievable with dedication and grit.

My journey has taught me that success comes from hard work, being bold, taking risks, and trusting your instincts. It’s about finding passion in your work and using it to drive meaningful change in the world. And while financial stability has been a driving force for me, it’s the joy of creating impactful marketing and design that truly fuels my motivation.

So, to all the incredible women in my community and beyond, I urge you to embrace your dreams fearlessly! Whether you’re starting your own business, pursuing a new career, or striving for personal growth, believe in yourself and your abilities. Your journey may have challenges, but remember, every obstacle is an opportunity for growth.
