Killer Marketing Tip 30: Are Instagram Ads worth it?

Always remember that your best bet for Instagram success is to share stunning visuals and high-quality photos.  Add in a branded or targeted hashtag and you’ll be connecting with your ideal customers in no time. But if you want to increase your reach even further, Instagram ads are great to add into the mix.

Here’s why your business should consider Instagram as a way to promote your services:

  1. It’s easy and inexpensive and anyone can advertise on the platform
  2. You can target audiences with Facebook data since Facebook owns Instagram.
  3. Audience engagement is limitless. Businesses can interact with users in the comments section of their photos.
  4. Post ads look just like any other shared post on Instagram, which makes them feel less conspicuous.
  5. There are multiple ways to advertise on Instagram – Posts, Stories, videos, IGTV, and Reels.
  6. Whether you want to increase brand awareness, get more clicks to your website, gain more social leads or make more sales, Instagram can help you reach a huge audience.

And if you are wondering WHAT kind of ads to run, here are 6 ad examples you should consider:

  1. Feature an upcoming product launch or open house – Run the ad before the drop or prior to the homes hitting the market, you want to drive awareness and traffic before the actual event.
  2. Sell the dream – You can use royalty free images to create ads of unique homes, dream vacations, great visuals that people don’t see every day. These photos aren’t necessarily going to be real homes in your area. Instead, they are photos that represent the dream of a luxury lifestyle, a dream home, a dream vacation or anything that captures your audience’s attention. Up the ante by including a call to action like “Call me today to find your dream home”.
  3. Showcase Your Success – You can create an ad to showcase a successful moment in your business. For example, you might create an ad after selling a home in just three days, or to showcase a great testimonial from a past client.
  4. About You – This is a great type of ad to run for awareness or consideration. Share something unique about yourself that’ll catch your audience’s attention and make them want to work with you.
  5. Provide Value – Use this ad to highlight your knowledge of the market in your area. Share the average prices of home in your area, or the latest mortgage trends. Any type of infographic with this sort of information will do well when targeted to the right audience.
  6. Highlighting Why Your Area Is The Best – Show something unique about your area that people may not know about, like a new restaurant or shopping place. This ad should show that you’re actively out in your community and have knowledge of your local market.
