4 Simple Tips to Prepare for Prosperity

Don’t let bad news distract you from the many positive steps you can take each day…

No matter what you do or where you live, by the time you arrive for your work day,  you’ve probably been exposed to a barrage of “fake” or “real” news, crazy politics, war, terror, finances, death, destruction, you need a job, you need money UG!  …need I go on?

It’s enough that we have to deal with all this stuff just through our contact with the world, but to deal with it and keep the pace we all keep and stay positive and hopeful, can be pretty stressful, especially if you own your own business.  You have to accentuate the positive and stay FOCUSED.

“When you stay focused and keep a commitment you create momentum, and momentum creates momentum.”  ~ Rich Fettke

Don’t allow yourself to be distracted by negative economic and/or news events beyond your control. Instead, focus on the many steps within your control you can take to generate sales today and prepare for a more prosperous tomorrow.  Here are 4 simple tips to prepare for prosperity!

  1. Customer Follow-up: start each day by contacting three recent customers and finding out how satisfied they are with their purchases or the services they have received. Thank them for choosing you and ask them what you can do to make them even happier next time. Make an opportunity for an upsale. You will undoubtedly uncover additional unmet needs while generating valuable leads and referrals.
  2. Website/Blog: Can you be found online and if you can, what will your customer/client/prospect find? Is your website/blog in a responsive format? Will it “read” on mobile devices? Does it brim over with great content about you and your industry? Is it up to date?  Focus on a dynamic online presence that will act as the hub for all your content.
  3. Social Media Fun – Get involved on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube. Share your positive outlook to your friends and followers, tell your story, get personal, have fun and make connections that will build REAL relationships. Look for compelling content you can share that spreads a positive light… content that will make the online world a better place and make friends in the process! Leverage these marketing outlets for double/triple/quadruple exposure of your marketing message.
  4. Synergy: Build a strategic marketing plan for Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, or any other social network. Drive visitors to your web site or blog, keep customers informed using on-line collaboration and communications, email and on-line newsletters. Diversify your marketing and spread your marketing message across all available channels.  Your clients and prospects are a marching parade, you have to catch them where ever they are!

Bottom line?

  • Keep it real!
  • Focus on the positive
  • DO NOT forget to stay in touch with your clients, this is the GOLD!
  • Have fun and love what you do!
  • Make some phone calls! ; )
  • Leverage your social networks
  • Diversify your marketing
